Examine yourselves to see whether you are in the faith; test yourselves. Do you not realize that Christ Jesus is in you—unless, of course, you fail the test? 2 Corinthians 13:5 (NIV).
Are you walking and operating in faith in Jesus or yourself? In whom is your trust? When faced with a test or difficulty is your first response to drop to your knees and seek God or is it to devise a way to get out of it yourself?
If you rely on yourself—your intellectual abilities, your wisdom, your capabilities to figure out and solve the problem then your faith is in your SELF. And if your faith is in yourself you have not need for God. For if you can do it yourself—what is the point of Christ?
If your first response is to seek God—to inquire of him, to get help and divine direction you have faith in Jesus’ ability to provide all that he has side for you by the way of the cross. When faced with challenges test yourself—are you in faith or in self? If in faith you will have peace and the assurance that God will provide and do what he has promised in his Word. But if in yourself you will have worry, doubt, confusion, sleepless nights, frustrations and aggravations.
But you alone can decide which is best for you—self or FAITH. Make your choice today!
