THE TRUMPET by Bill Burns

I have come to you today My people to prepare you.  I’ve come to open your ears.  I have come to place a desire so deep down within your spirit that the travail of it shall call you to a higher place than you have been.  The travail of that which I am doing in your spirit man will cause you to awaken out of a slumber and come forth into the majesty that I have called you;  into the glory that I have prepared for you.  Call these the days of wonder if you will, watch for the signs, listen for My voice.  For, divine directives shall come into your ears.

And when I call you to pray, do so, in faith.  When I call you to proclaim, do so, in faith.  When I call you even to write a divine decree, do so, in faith.  No good thing will I withhold from you in these days, says the Lord.  But, you must be ready; you must be ready to mount up and  ride on the wind of My presence; you must be ready to search out the things that I have hidden within you; you must become a treasure hunter, says the Lord God.  For many gems have been placed within your spirit;  revelations of these days.  Many of you have longed for these days for you know that I will speak, and you know that a prophetic voice will arise and come forth; you know that words of wisdom and the words of knowledge shall come; that tongues shall be spoken; that interpretation will be given.  These things I say will indeed multiply in the days that are before you.

Praying the word of God:

Oh Lord my God, I desire for you to prepare me, to open my ears that I may hear from you! I want you to take me to a higher place than I have ever been in you, awaken me, let me see your wonders, let me witness your miracles, let me enjoy your presence. Father I will pray in faith for you have equipped me, I will write your decrees in faith, I will mount up…I will be ready to search for the hidden things that you have placed within me. I am a treasure hunter for I desire to be all that you have called me to be.

Lord I will move according to the Spirit of the Lord, I long for the move of God the great days of the Lord. Though I go though affliction my eyes are set on thee, I will be strong for you are my strength. I will worship the Lord for it is my encouragement–and it will fill me with joy which is my strength. I will come before the face of the Lord for in your presence I will find peace and blessings. In Jesus name, amen.

By turning these prophetic words into prayers you can claim all the promises of God, encourage yourself in the Lord, wage war against the enemy, reaffirm your commitment to God, and lay the ground work for a powerful testimony in Jesus Name.

Many Americans are plagued by obesity. As a nation we are not as active as our forefathers and mothers were. We tend to spend more time commuting in a car, or working while sitting at our keyboard. And this is can be especially true if you work from your home.

Regardless of your work schedule you need to make time to exercise. You need to make time to tune up, tone, and stretch your muscles. And you don’t even have to go to the gym (paying for those memberships that will go dormant in a few months after you lose our zeal and excitement.)

What can you do?

You can try working out to a DVD!

I have found that when I exercise with Denise Austin (her Blast Away The Pounds Indoor Walk DVD among others) I am motivated, encouraged, and excited about exercise. I feel like I have my pals working out with me.

Sometimes I want a little variety, so I will use Shaun T’s Hip Hop Abs DVD and this makes me sweat! But it gets my blood pumping. At other times I want a little salsa so I can reconnect with my Caribbean roots–so I work out to the Core Rhythms DVD’s with Janna and Julia.

But then there are those time when I just get on my trusty treadmill or elliptical. If have found that my body hits a plateau where it refuses to burn fat it will just maintain the status quo. When that happens I spice it up by using an eclectic approach to exercising. I will workout with one of my DVD’s in the am before classes for 30 minutes. Then in the evening I will workout in our home gym with my sons during their PE time. This helps me to push my body past its plateau point.

If you want to blast away the pounds try using a DVD in the morning and in the evening–spice it up. Your body needs to get moving and your muscles need to be stretched but you should never over do it. That is why I like the DVD’s they allow you to go at your own pace while they encourage you to slowly go to a higher level of exercise.

One of the good things about working from home is that many of your excursions can be included in your business expenses. On Friday night we decided to have a business meeting at a Spanish restaurant. We wanted to treat our staff to a nice dinner as a thank you for the hard work they have been doing to help build Smart-at-Home. As an added bonus we are able to review the restaurants food and service for you our Smart-at-Home family.

We dined at Pollos Mario Steak House and Seafood at 75 Franklin Street in Hempstead Long Island, New York. When we arrived we were directed to our parking spot by the valet—which which was a a pleasant surprise.

Upon entering the restaurant we were warmly greeted by our host host. He had us wait as he prepared and cleaned our table. The atmosphere was warm, inviting and energetic, and under the influence of the salsa music playing throughout the establishment.  The  decore of tropics beach umbrellas and pictures of cartoon carricatures set a cozy, intimate, and tropical atmosphere that was not isolating but made us feel included yet set apart.

Our waitress was pleasant  and efficient. She attended to our needs with professionalism and a friendly smile. We ordered two grilled chicken thigh dinners, French style chicken cutlet dinner, the chicken wings and fries, an order of mozzarella sticks, and cranberry drinks—the meal came up to $51 dollars and change before tips.

The meal was delicious and  filling. The mozzarella cheese sticks were a little on the salty side as was the chicken thighs. However, their wide assortment of delicious drinks was enough to alleviate that issue. None of us could finish our meals. We each took home a doggie bag—which came in handy for lunch the next day.

The restaurant was not overly packed but we did notice several families out to dinner. And they too had more than enough left over for a doggie bag. If you are looking for a restaurant where you can get more food for your dollar…a place where they still take time to prepare the meal as you would…a place that give you good service and a warm inviting atmosphere…then you should visit Pollos Mario.

And if you happen to be watching your weight you can easily get three meals out of one of their dishes—which will help you to manage your calorie intake.

Review:

The Apollyon by Lester Sumrall is a powerful and eye opening cd that will change the way you look at media, demons, and your life. Sumrall recounts a dream where he was rebuked by Apollyon for referring to him as a “scarecrow.” He (the demon) made it clear that he was not a scarecrow—but the destroyer as outlined in the book of Revelation.

This powerful spirit has a plan to totally destroy the United States of America by releasing three spirits—mockery (of God), rock music, and occult through media. Sumrall lays a Biblical foundation throughout the CD that will help the listener to follow the context of the dream and to see that the Apollyon referred to in Revelation was the same spirit that spoke to Lester Sumrall.

It is evident that Apollyon is a strategic spirit that knows how to entice man towards destruction—first by encouraging him take down what would be his wall of safety…God (belief in God, respect of God, trust in God).

The Bible references to angels many times. For example, when Jacob wrestled with an angel or when, Gabriel came onto Mary bearing God’s news. However, the Bible describes how the different types of angels look. It may surprise you, how some angels look. Often angels are depicted as two winged humans. That is not the case—Biblically speaking.

Cherubim are referenced in Genesis 3:24 and Ezekiel 10:11-21. In the account of Ezekiel 10:11-21, cherubim are described as having four faces. “Each of the four cherubim had four faces-the first was the face of an ox, the second was a human face, the third was the face of a lion, and the fourth was the face of an eagle,”–Ezekiel 10:14 (NLT).

The Bible also states that cherubim have four wings, Ezekiel 10:14; and its under its wings it appear to have hands. In verse, twelve of Ezekiel chapter ten it says the cherub’s whole body was covered in eyes.

Ezekiel chapter ten also describes another angel besides the cherub. This angel is called “whirling wheels”. “I heard someone refer to the wheels as ‘whirling wheels.’” These angelic beings are two intersecting wheels. Each wheel is covered with eyes. Each cherub has a whirling wheels. When the cherubim moved the wheels also move with them. The Bible says “…for the spirit of the living beings was in the wheels,”-Ezekiel 11:17.

Seraphim are the least described of the three types of angels, but this is what the Bible tells us… Seraphim have six wings. As said in Isaiah 6:2. With one pair of wings, they cover their face. With another pair of wings, they cover their feet. With the last pair of wings, they use to fly.

The Bible never references to angels as having two wings. Archangels are never described in how they look in the Bible. However, if you look at the depictions (drawings) of archangels or any portrait of an angel, you would find them having two wings. This may not seem important but it is.

The origin of these two wing “angels” is extremely important. In Hellenistic Greece, Nike was the winged goddess of victory. She had two wings and had a long, flowing gown. This is what most angels are depicted as having. The Nike became the basis of the way Christian angels are depicted. Therefore, our “typical angels” find their roots in a heathen culture.

The Greeks did not serve God, and there is only one other person you can serve, that person happens to be the devil! For nearly 1,907 years, Christians have been using a heathen goddess, in other words an idol as the basis of portraying God’s holy messagers.

In some art pieces of angels, I found not only that the angels have two wings but also, they were female. Merode Altarpiece by Robert Campin shows Mary reading a book while the “female” Gabriel delivers God’s message. Daniel 8:17 says, “As Gabriel approached the place where I was standing, I became so terrified that I fell to ground, ‘son of man’, he said…” (NLT). It says, “…he said…” meaning Gabriel is male.

Cherubim are not always depicted as the Bible says either. Usually they are depicted as a baby with two wings. This depiction is based on the Roman god Cupid. Often times “Cupid” cherubim are shown in the nude. Appearing that they have the same sexual parts as a human, even though the Bible doesn’t say cherubim have reproductive organs.

Even though this may appear to be a simple mistake of blending cultures, we must be careful of what we let influence us. In addition, it shows we must test what we hear, read, and see against the word of God. If we don’t, people can sell us anything that seems correct. So watch out for those lies mixed with truth. Hey you. Yeah you, I got a deal for you. I’ll give you this $500 computer for nothing. Until 28 days from now, then you owe me a minimum of $50. By the time you’re done you’ll have parted with over twice what the computer is worth and you probably won’t even have it anymore. Sound good?

Not really. Sometimes credit is a good thing. Your ‘score’ helps you buy big ticket items like cars or houses. So carrying small balances isn’t a big deal; the problem comes when the small balance got out of control.

1. Pay off the high interest rate first. Arrange your cards in the order of interest and put together a plan to settle your debts. When the first is done split that payment between saving and the next highest.
2. In too deep? Avoid credit counseling. It’s better to call the company itself and see if they will work out payment arrangements with you. Credit counselors tend to work for the card companies anyway. They are not working for you and they charge you for their help.
3. Way too deep? Bankruptcy. A lot of people will try to extend credit after a bankruptcy. This is because they know the debtor can’t declare it again for a certain period of time. Debt is what you declared bankruptcy to avoid. Don’t fall for it. In addition, do not pay any of the accounts you plan to put into the bankruptcy – even one payment is an acknowledgement of debt.
4. Use credit to your advantage. If you can afford to pay off an account that has zero percent financing for a year (18 months, whatever). Make a plan and pay it off. You’ll save on the interest and you get your furniture now. Always pay if off. If you don’t you’ll owe all the interest when that period is up.
5. Assess your creditors. Hospitals don’t like this, but there is no minimum payment for your healthcare bills. Send them a payment every month and if they take it – you have an interest free loan. Credit reports shouldn’t say you’re late on your payment because there was no set payment schedule. It’s not a perfect world, and it still may show up on your credit report – if it does, explain why you made payments and that you’ve kept it up until the debt was cancelled. You have to pay something – any dead beat balances will hurt you.

I went a little long on credit – but there is a lot more to cover here. Try to take a course on financial planning if you can. Our bank (well it’s really a credit union–Community America) offers one for $89, not a bad investment. Like a budget, credit should work for you. It’s a tool. Don’t let it destroy your life.
